The 3 Medias: Owned, Earned and Paid Media and How to Utilize Them
There are 3 things you need to know. EVERY business has 3 forms of media.
1. Owned Media- your businesses website, socials and blog!
2. Earned Media- the reviews your business receives, referral's mentions, and shares or reposts.
3. Paid Media- pay-per-click (PPC), social media advertising, and any form of advertisement that's paid for.
How to optimize owned media?
Ensure your website is your digital storefront that resembles your business and what you offer. Strategically, share information on your website to reach people organically with SEOs. Having a blog on your website is extremely beneficial.
For example, being a fitness fanatic myself, one day I was researching how much protein burrata cheese has. I was taken to an article done by an Italian restaurant. okay? This restaurants food looked delicious and made me want to eat there. So I did.
Creating content that resonates with your target audience is the best way to use your owned media to turn into earned media.
Are we sure of who we are making content for? What is their age, location, interest, hopes, dreams and desires? This turns into them sharing with a friend, reposting to their story, or commenting.

In each part of the 3 medias, knowing your target audience is essential. BUT especially here it is. Don't spend money aimlessly popping ads out there. Reach the right people who will be interested! Narrowing down your target audience is the best investment you will make into your business.
